Ziele und warum es kein Zeitmanagement gibt!

Wie man unweigerlich an den letzten Einträgen feststellen muss, habe ich in den vergangenen Tagen nichts – überhaupt nichts – geschrieben. Jetzt könnte ich über mich selbst verärgert sein, aber ich bin es absolut nicht. Warum?
Ganz einfach: Ich hatte mir vorgenommen zwei Prüfungen in der Uni zu bestehen und diese musste ich vorbereiten. Also habe ich mich in meinen Elfenbeinturm  (mein Arbeitszimmer) zurückgezogen und gelernt.

Ich finde es ist wichtig sich zu immer wieder vor Augen zu führen, was einem persönlich gerade am wichtigsten ist. Gerade als Selbstständiger geht man hier auf einem schmalen Grad, denn Arbeit und Privatleben sind nicht nur finanziell stark verzahnt.
Natürlich hätte ich Arbeiten können, es ist ja immer was zu tun. Ich hätte Aufräumen oder das Auto reparieren können, aber ich hatte mir eine andere Priorität gesetzt, denn mein Ziel war es die Klausuren zu schaffen.

Aber was genau führt dazu, dass man sich Ziele setzten sollte?

Zeitmanagement gibt es nicht!

Wie nicht nur Albert Einstein erkannt hat ist Zeit ein rein persönliches Empfinden und gleichzeitig haben alle Menschen im Jahr die gleiche Zeit zur Verfügung. Man kann Zeit nicht managen, sondern nur die Art und Weise in der man die Zeit nutzt! Man sollte daher wohl eher von Selbstmanagement reden.

Operative Maßnahmen

Viele von euch benutzen – wie ich – Tools, um ihr Leben und ihre Arbeit zu steuern: Terminkalender, Todos, Notizen, Erinnerungen, usw. Sicherlich sinnvolle und praktische Maßnahmen, die helfen mit den vielen Aufgaben klar zu kommen. Aber das sind nur operative Maßnahmen, die zwar kurzfristig zu einer Verbesserung führen, aber langfristig nichts ändern. Sie sind ein nötiges und wichtiges Werkzeug, aber keine Lösung.

Ein Vergleich ist mir beim Kochen aufgefallen: Wenn das Nudelwasser überkocht, dann kann man den Deckel hochheben und der „Schaum“ legt sich. Wenn man aber die Temperatur nicht reduziert, dann muss man die ganze Zeit den Deckel immer wieder hochheben…

Eine Basis schaffen

Ich finde man sollte akzeptieren, dass man nur 24 Stunden am Tag hat. Und von diesen 24 Stunden kann man keine 24,5 Stunden nutzen. Vielmehr sollte man sich darauf konzentrieren wie man diese Stunden verwendet.

Ganz am Anfang geht es dabei um zwei Fragen: 1. Was sind meine persönlichen Ziele? Und 2. Was sind dann meine Prioritäten?

Ziele auf Keksen

Es gibt verschiedene und unterschiedlich tolle Theorien wie man sich Ziele definieren sollte. Aber mir geht es nicht um solche Feinheiten, sondern ich denke, dass sich sinnvolle Ziele schon durch 5 Aspekte auszeichnen. Meine KEKSE:

K = Konkret formuliert, so dass man sich nicht rausreden kann
E = Einfach formuliert, so dass man das Ziel immer nachvollziehen kann
K = Kontrollierbar, so dass man selbst zu 100% das Ziel steuern kann
S = Schriftlich erfassen, dann hat es formalen Charakter
E = Endpunkt notieren, an dem das Ziel erreicht seien soll

So sieht das dann z.B. bei mir aus:

Langfristig?

Ziele lassen sich nicht in Stein meißeln, denn wir ändern uns und damit ändert sich auch fortlaufend das, was uns wichtig ist. Viel eher sollte man sich regelmäßig umsehen und prüfen: „Wo bin ich?“ und „Wo will ich hin?“

Ausblick

Erst wenn man seine KEKSE zusammen hat, dann kann man auch Prioritäten verteilen. Dazu dann ein anderes Mal mehr…
